With a processing capacity equivalent to six million smartphones or 150,000 modern laptops, the Pegaso supercomputer is expected to increase the company’s current processing capacity from 42 to 63 Petaflops. Pegaso has a processing capacity of 21 Petaflops, almost the sum of the supercomputers the firm currently uses, Dragon (14 Petaflops) and Atlas (8.9 Petaflops) together. The new machine is equipped with 678 terabytes of RAM and a 400 Gbps network, in addition to 2016 Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and has been designed with energy efficiency in mind....

OnePlus is now much more embedded with its BBK Electronics stablemate Oppo, a fact that’s particularly noticeable in the overlay that’s applied onto Android 12. The report sent PagerDuty shares down 7% in late trading. CEO and founder Jennifer Tejada remarked that the company’s “business is benefiting from recovery, as both the macro trends and market landscape continue to move in our favor.” Added Tejada, Revenue in the three months ended in April rose 28%, year over year, to $63.6 million, yielding a net loss of 8 cents a share, excluding some costs. In the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, PC monitor shipments declined for the first time after five consecutive quarters of growth, according to tech analyst IDC. PC monitor shipments overall were down 7.2% to 34.8 million units compared to Q3 2020 when remote workers snapped up 37.5 million monitors, many of them as second monitors. IDC estimates 86.7 million desktops and notebooks were sold in Q3 2021, up 5% from the same period a year ago....

The campaign, discovered by security company INKY, found that phishers are impersonating the US Department of Transportation (DOT) in an effort to harvest Microsoft Office 365 credentials, INKY’s Roger Kay wrote in a blog post. Kay noted that the phishing emails peaked around August 16-18, right after the US Senate passed the $1 trillion infrastructure bill on August 10. Dozens of phishing emails sought to impersonate the DOT, with attackers contacting multiple companies in the engineering, energy architecture industries asking them to submit bids for federal contracts....

The project – akin to a Pinterest version of QVC – has been built to allow people to shop while watching the shows. Pinterest said “all live content will have the ability to be made shoppable by specific product features.” The show’s hosts or creators can use tags to tie certain products to their shows – called Product Pins – allowing viewers to quickly head over to a product page when they see something they love on one of the shows....

From June 2020 to August 2021, 7-Eleven conducted surveys that required customers to fill out information on tablets with built-in cameras. These tablets, which were installed in 700 stores, captured customers’ facial images at two points during the survey-taking process – when the individual first engaged with the tablet, and after they completed the survey.
