According to a resolution published by the Ministry of Economy on Tuesday (Jan 25), the user satisfaction assessment aims to ensure users have the right to participate in the evaluation of public services through “adequate, simple, reliable and anonymized data collection instruments”. In addition, the assessment is intended to provide technical information to support the design, monitoring and ongoing improvement of public services from a user perspective. It is also expected to inform the prioritization of digital improvement and prioritization efforts while also promoting transparency, as user ratings will be publicly available on a monthly basis in a ranking format....

That’s the word from Andy Nallappan, chief technology officer and head of software business operations at Broadcom Software, one of the world’s largest tech employers. Imperva released the results of the study on Tuesday, which analyzed roughly 27,000 databases and their security posture. In total, 46% of on-premises databases worldwide, accounted for in the scan, contained known vulnerabilities. On average, each database contained 26 security flaws, with 56% ranked as a “high” or “critical” severity bug – including code execution vulnerabilities that can be used to hijack an entire database and the information contained within....

Discovered by Cisco Talos researcher Marcin ‘Icewall’ Noga, the vulnerability “could cause a deserialization condition with controllable data and then execute arbitrary code,” leaving web servers open to hijacking. Tracked as CVE-2021-21956 and issued a CVSSv3 score of 8.2, the security flaw is present in CloudLinux’s Imunify360 versions 5.8 and 5.9. Imunify360 is a security suite for Linux web servers including patch management, domain blacklisting, and firewall features. In a security advisory published on Monday, Cisco Talos said the flaw was found in the Ai-Bolit malware scanner functionality of the software....

Twitter launched the new $8 a month Twitter Blue on November 9 but suspended it soon after when users began to abuse the new system to impersonate brands and high-profile user accounts, including that of Musk, effectively using the service to do exactly what Musk hoped to eliminate. Earlier this month, Musk said Twitter Blue Verified will return on November 29 “to make sure it is rock solid.” He hasn’t said when it will relaunch again after the delay....
