Tom Kellermann, VMware’s head of cybersecurity strategy, said the Log4j vulnerability is one of the worst vulnerabilities he has seen in his career – and one of the most significant vulnerabilities ever exposed. Log4j, a Java library for logging error messages in applications, was developed by the Apache Software Foundation. Kaspersky conducted a study of job ads and resumes on 155 dark web forums between January 2020 through June 2022, offering insight into the ever-growing cybercrime labor market. The aim of the study was to gather information on the kinds of jobs offered, their terms, selection criteria, and compensation data. Interestingly, the researchers found that the 638 dark web job vacancies far exceeded the 229 resumés that job searchers posted....

A survey of 300 senior leaders in the UK comprising CEOs, CFOs, CTOs and CIOs at SMEs and large organizations by recruiter Robert Half found that 34% plan to up their headcount next year, driven by the ongoing shift to digital and “online-first” business models.
