Bloomberg reports that the tech giant is experiencing software challenges that would most likely delay the headset’s release until the end of this year or 2023. The delay is due to Apple’s development team allegedly experiencing problems with the headset related to overheating and issues with the camera. Even though Apple hasn’t officially confirmed a headset is in the works, Bloomberg said the company had plans to unveil the product in June at the annual Worldwide Developer’s Conference....

Earlier this month, Mysk said iOS 16 exchanges data with Apple services outside active VPN networks and leaks DNS requests. Following the release of iOS 16.1, the duo ran tests and found that the update had exacerbated the issue. “Now push notifications also bypass the VPN in the standard mode. The Lockdown Mode is the same,” Mysk wrote on Twitter. Push notifications are alerts that pop up on your phone, displaying updates from apps like email and social media....

Bloomberg on Tuesday reported that Apple had indefinitely delayed work on the long-rumored AR glasses and pared back the scope of the project. Apple will instead target 2024 for the release of its lower-cost – but still likely expensive – mixed reality headset. While the mixed-reality headset is expected to cost around $3,000, Bloomberg reports Apple is planning to follow up with a lower cost mixed reality headset priced around $1,500....
