An unnamed French website is the subject of the controversy. CNIL has ordered the website manager to comply with the GDPR. Article 44 of the GDPR does not allow the transfer of personal data to countries outside the EU that do not have adequate privacy protections. Web Skimming Online shopping has become much more popular during the Coronavirus outbreak. Which also means that hackers are finding new ways to get their hands on people’s payment information on these online shopping websites. They mainly use a type of attack called web skimming. Web skimming is used by attackers to steal credit card details from the payment pages of online stores. They do this by injecting pieces of code into the source code of the website....

The cybersecurity company said it discovered the effort in October, finding hackers taking over prominent accounts and demanding a ransom. The people behind the attack start by sending a message pretending to be Instagram, notifying Instagram users of a purported instance of copyright infringement. There is a link in the message that takes victims to a website controlled by the hackers. From there, the user is asked to enter their Instagram login information, giving the attackers full access to their accounts....
